Frankfurt / Main (AP) - After a three-day loss, the Dax can stabilize for the time being.

The German leading index held its ground in early trading on its day before, most recently it was slightly higher with 0.14 percent at 12,251.48 points.

The day before he was able to reduce his losses because of new hope for a rapprochement in the US-Chinese trade conflict in later trading.

US President Donald Trump had promised the day before that a deal with China could be made sooner than expected - supporting New York stock prices. The uncertainty in the market because of a possible impeachment Trump case was somewhat cushioned.

Beyond the Dax, other indices in Germany and Europe also held up moderately. The MDax, which includes medium-sized German stocks, gained 0.33 percent in early trading to 25,649.84 points. By contrast, the Eurozone leading index EuroStoxx 50 only managed a marginal gain of 0.09 percent to 3516.07 points.
