Stuttgart (dpa) - The prosecutor Stuttgart has imposed in the wake of the diesel scandal against the carmaker Daimler, a fine in the amount of 870 million euros. Reason is a negligent breach of supervision in a department dealing with vehicle certification, as the prosecution said. This had led to the fact that the diesel vehicles were granted permits, although the emission of nitrogen oxides in the cars partially did not meet the regulatory requirements. Daimler wants to appeal against the decision no appeal.
