Wolfsburg (AP) - Volkswagen and Porsche have to call back about 227 000 cars because of a problem with airbags and belt tensioners. For the vehicles, the software of the airbag control unit requires an update, according to information from the Federal Motor Transport Authority. The error leads to a «limited function of the airbags and the belt tensioner». Affected are 203 400 copies of the VW models Tiguan, Sharan and CC from the year of construction 2015 as well as 23 550 Porsche 911, Boxter, Cayman and Panamera from the years 2015 and 2016.
