Bremen (dpa) - The Bremen AfD comes together today for a party congress. This is likely to go to the recent disputes on the party leadership. At the meeting, where about 50 to 60 members are expected, the election of the National Board is on the agenda.
Country chief Frank Magnitz and his deputy Thomas Jürgewitz are divided, they accuse each other of party damaging behavior. Both did not rule out to run for the post of state chairman.
Because of the quarrel between them broke in early September, the AfD faction in the citizenry, which fell apart in a group of three parliamentarians and two non-attached MPs. The Bremer AfD has a total of about 160 members. Whether the event of the right-wing populist party for journalists is admitted, decides only on Sunday.
