Berlin (dpa) - Federal Government and rail want to expand the monitoring at stations. "We consistently focus on deterrence and education," said Transport Minister Andreas Scheuer. Deutsche Bahn and the ministries of traffic and home affairs want to increase the number of security forces at railway stations and expand video surveillance and biometric facial recognition. They react to the fatal attack six weeks ago on a child at Frankfurt Central Station. A man had an eight-year-old boy in front of an entering ICE. The child died.
