Munich (AP) - Bayern Munich CEO Karl-Heinz Rummenigge pays RB Leipzig respect - the task of the football record champion for the top match on Saturday (18.30 clock / Sky) in Saxony was clear.
"Our goal is to take the championship lead with a victory," said Rummenigge the trade magazine "Kicker". Basically, Bayern are "but always interested in competition, because only through competition arise tension and emotions in football".
The Leipzig are certainly one of the clubs, "in the coming years to establish themselves in the top of the Bundesliga and thus also provide tension," said the 63-year-old before the game at the current leaders. The Bavarians are with seven points from three games first pursuers of three times victorious Leipzig. Rummenigge did not want to make a prediction for the title fight: "With regard to the current season, however, one can not yet make a serious statement, which is simply not possible after three match days."
