Bundestag: exchange of blows for climate protection in the Bundestag
TIME ONLINE | News, backgrounds and debates
Berlin (dpa) - Shortly before crucial deliberations of the Federal Government on the future climate policy, the Bundestag has delivered a blow to this. Chancellor Angela Merkel campaigned for acceptance for additional measures. Green Party leader Katrin Göring-Eckardt called for significantly more investment in climate protection. "This budget is a double zero - no plan and no money," she said, because the expected climate package is not yet deposited in the budget. FDP faction leader Christian Lindner warned against climate protection with asceticism, prohibition and renunciation.
