Frankfurt Stock Exchange: Dax starts losses - investors play it safe

Frankfurt / Main (dpa) - After two days of winning the Dax has started with losses. In the first minutes of trading, the German leading index fell by 0.37 percent to 11,687.09 points down.

The investors looked in the face of the back and forth in the trade conflict currently rather security, said Börsianer. This is also shown by the strong demand for government bonds and precious metals.

The MDax of medium-sized companies fell by 0.39 percent to 25,084.09 points. Investors also played it safe in Europe: the EuroStoxx 50, the Eurozone's leading index, lost 0.41 percent to 3,356.60 points.
