New York (AFP) Germany, along with Great Britain and France, has called for the enforcement of international sanctions against North Korea. The punitive measures would have to be "upheld and implemented strictly and fully until the North Korean missile and nuclear program is discontinued," a statement issued by the three EU countries on Tuesday at the UN Security Council said. They condemned North Korea's recent missile tests as a violation of UN resolutions and called on Pyongyang to engage in serious negotiations with the US.
