The sun is shining on Sunday and the temperatures can go up to 32 degrees in the southeast. At the end of the afternoon there is a chance of a local thunderstorm in the east, but in the rest of the country it stays dry all day. It will be 30 degrees on average.

After a warm summer evening it will cool down considerably at night. The minima then come out at 13 to 16 degrees.

Monday the tropical temperatures will continue. It will then be 27 degrees in the northwest to 32 degrees in the southeast.

On Tuesday and Wednesday, the sunny weather with high temperatures remains intact, but in the days that follow, the temperature drops to between 21 and 26 degrees.

The National Institute for Public Health (RIVM) has activated the National Heat Plan from Saturday.

Groups of vulnerable people, such as the elderly, babies, the chronically ill, overweight people, people in care homes and people in social isolation, are especially warned by the RIVM.

They must be extra alert to dehydration and overheating. The National Heat Plan applies in principle up to and including Wednesday.
