Religion: Steinmeier opens interreligious meeting in Lindau

Lindau (dpa) - Federal President Frank-Walter Steinmeier opens today the 10th World Conference of Religions for Peace. According to the non-governmental organization, with 900 participants from about 100 countries, it is the largest interfaith meeting in the world. High-ranking religious representatives and government members are expected in Lindau on Lake Constance in the coming days to discuss solutions in various conflict regions. The focus of this year's meeting is the role of women in peace processes.
