Los Angeles (AP) - "Ocean's Eleven" director Steven Soderbergh brings Hollywood star Meryl Streep (70) for a comedy adaptation for the streaming HBO Max in front of the camera.

The three-time Oscar winner is to play in the comedy "Let Them All Talk" a celebrated writer who goes traveling with old friends and her young nephew (Lucas Hedges). Besides Streep and Hedges, Candice Bergen, Dianne Wiest and Gemma Chan also play along, as the streaming service announced.

The production has already started in New York. It will also be filmed on board the luxury ship "Queen Mary 2" and in England.

Soderbergh, who is best known for films such as "Sex, Lies and Video," "Traffic," and "Erin Brockovich," most recently shot the Netflix production "The Laundromat" with Streep. The political drama surrounding the revelations of the so-called Panama Papers is scheduled to premiere at this year's Venice Film Festival (28 August to 7 September).
