International: Defect on the Airbus: Maas has to fly to New York
TIME ONLINE | News, backgrounds and debates
Berlin (AP) - Due to a defect in an Air Force Airbus Federal Foreign Minister Heiko Maas has had to change to a replacement plane to New York. Instead of using an A321 as planned, the minister had to leave the military part of the Berlin-Tegel airport with a smaller replacement machine for his four-day trip to North America. What kind of defect it was, the Foreign Office did not want to say. The flying readiness of the Bundeswehr was repeatedly in the headlines.
