The airport canceled all flights for the day in the afternoon. Thousands of demonstrators had besieged the departure and arrival halls. Hong Kong Airport is one of the busiest in the world. Meanwhile, China's government is increasingly demanding that it restore order to the Special Administrative Region and stop the violence.
