Mecca (AP) - In the Saudi Arabian city of Mecca begins today the Muslim pilgrimage Hajj. The kingdom reckons with more than two million pilgrims. More than 1.8 million believers have traveled from abroad to Muslim holy city in recent days. They participate in well-defined rituals until Wednesday. For the pilgrimage strict security precautions are provided. Four years ago, more than 750 pilgrims were killed in a mass panic during the pilgrimage.
