Rome (AP) - Pope Francis has thought of the victims of several bloody acts in the United States. "I am mentally close to the victims of the violence that has struck blood and defenseless people in Texas, California, and Ohio in the United States in the past few days," he said after Angelus prayer in St. Peter's Square in Rome. Armed attackers had killed dozens of people in the United States in recent days: in the border town of El Paso, Texas, Dayton, Ohio, and the small town of Gilroy, California.
