The US was shocked by a second mass shooting in a short time. Just a few hours after a man in a shopping mall in El Paso, Texas, shot twenty people, the fire was opened in a popular neighborhood in Dayton, Ohio. American media write about five to eight deaths.

In addition, several people were reportedly taken to the hospital. The authorities have not yet released any messages about the number of fatalities.

The shooter is said to have used an AR-15, witnesses to the shooting incident say. This semi-automatic firearm is used more often in mass shootings in the US.

Images that circulate on social media show that emergency services have been flocking to the area. The suspect would have been arrested, but this has not yet been confirmed.

Man shoots twenty people in Texas earlier on Saturday

Earlier on Saturday, at least 20 people were killed and dozens injured after a shooter opened fire in a shopping mall.

In total, three people were arrested. The police assume one shooter, the role of the other two suspects is being investigated.

President Trump condemned the Texas attack and calls it a "tragic, cowardly act." He has not yet responded to the Ohio incident.
