A missing 14-year-old girl in South Korea was found after ten days, reports South Korean news agency Yonhap on Friday. She disappeared during a family picnic on a mountain in Cheongju, 140 kilometers south of the capital Seoul.
According to police, the teenager was fully conscious when she was found by the rescue team. She was immediately taken to the hospital for a medical examination.
The doctors think her condition is better than expected and think that the girl may leave the hospital next week.
The girl went missing on July 23 during a family picnic. According to Korean media, she disappeared after telling her mother that she wanted to descend a bit from the mountain. She said she went to the place where the family had put a mat, because she was bothered by insects and was tired.
After her disappearance, 5,700 rescue workers, equipped with search dogs and drones, were called in to search for the girl.
