Crime: Unknown attacked mayor of Hockenheim

Böhl-Iggelheim (AP) - The outgoing mayor of Hockenheim was attacked by a stranger and seriously injured. That is what the police said. The attacker had rung at the house of 67-year-old Dieter Gummer in Böhl-Iggelheim and asked for a conversation. According to the police, the SPD politician came down to the courtyard of his private estate when the stranger approached him through the open gate and punched him in the face with a fist.
