In the center of Paris, at least two stores near the Champs Elysées have been looted after riots broke out after Algeria's win in the Africa Cup. Immediately after the victory around 9 p.m. hundreds of people took to the streets to celebrate the victory over Ivory Coast.

The atmosphere quickly changed in the center of the French capital. Most people celebrated, but dozens of people decided to plunder shops in the area. For example, helmets, gloves and a motorcycle were taken from a motorcycle store.

Several windows of stores have also been smashed. When the police arrived on the scene, tear gas was used to expel the rioters.

Because Ivory Coast was defeated after penalties, Algeria is in the semi-final of the Africa Cup. This is affecting Nigeria.
