Terrorism: After attacks Islamists from Sri Lanka under suspicion

TIME ONLINE | News, backgrounds and debates

Colombo (AP) - Sri Lanka's government has blamed a native radical Islamic group for the devastating attacks on Easter Sunday. Seven suicide bombers had killed nearly 300 people in three churches and three luxury hotels and injured several hundred. The government is firmly convinced that the group National Thowheeth Jama'ath committed the deeds, said a cabinet spokesman. Previously, there had been hints on the attack plans of the group.
