British singer Elton John has postponed his return to the stage for the time being.

He would resume his farewell tour in Germany at the beginning of September after a year and a half, but he has moved the first shows to 2023.

The stadiums and concert halls where John would perform may not yet be full due to the corona measures.

"And since we've sold 100 percent of all tickets, we've decided to reschedule the shows," John said.

The singer (

) would successively perform in Berlin, Cologne and Hamburg.

Performances are planned all over Europe until December.

In 2022, the singer will continue in North America, returning to Europe in the summer for another series of concerts.

A show is scheduled for June 9 in the GelreDome stadium in Arnhem.

Shows in North America are scheduled again in the fall of 2022 and New Zealand will be next in early 2023.

The postponed German concerts, which have been postponed to May 2023, now seem to be his very last.

John already started his series of farewell concerts in 2018, but due to corona, the tour has been stopped since March last year.
