The film

Fast & Furious 9

passed the $600 million mark (about 510 million euros) last weekend, making it the film that has grossed the most money worldwide since the outbreak of the corona crisis,

Deadline

reports

.

Achieving this amount took longer than with previous parts of the

Fast & Furious

series, because cinemas are not yet allowed to be completely filled due to corona measures.

In the Netherlands, the action film has attracted more than 320,000 visitors since its release in early July.

The ninth part in the successful franchise with actor Vin Diesel in the lead role is one of the many blockbusters whose release has been postponed due to the corona crisis.

Now that cinemas worldwide are slowly opening their doors again, more and more of these delayed titles are appearing.
