The 5 Hour Show

, which returned to television in August 2020, will last aired this week.

SBS confirms Monday after reporting from the

to that no second season has been ordered due to "disappointing viewing figures".

Production house Talpa describes the talk show, in which the already existing format was revived by presenters such as Brecht van Hulten, Carolina Lo Galbo and Roos Schlikker, as an "ambitious project".

"An enthusiastic group of people has succeeded in putting on beautiful substantive shows on a daily basis. The disappointing viewing figures have ultimately made the difference for all parties not to bring the program back in the autumn", a spokesperson for the channel said.

Lo Galbo announced last week that he would stop presenting the program.

Talpa emphasizes that the program did not come to an abrupt end, but that it was already certain that the first season would last until May 14.

The last broadcast of the talk show will be broadcast this Friday.

SBS will be from May 17 weekdays at 17:00 to attend the program
