The American radio presenter Rush Limbaugh has died at the age of seventy from lung cancer.

He was also a well-known political commentator with a strong preference for the Republican Party.

His death was made known by his wife Kathryn on his own radio show, the

Rush Limbaugh Show.

"Losing a loved one is incredibly difficult, especially when that love is greater than life," said his partner.

"Rush will forever be the greatest of all."
