Shamira Raphaëla will join the board of the Dutch Academy For Film (DAFF), the trade association announced on Wednesday.
The 38-year-old documentary maker won a Golden Calf in 2019 for best short documentary.
In addition to Raphaëla (documentary section), Florian Legters (production design), Jacob Derwig (acting), Tünde Vollenbroek (animation) and Ashar Medina (screenplay) have also been appointed for a period of two years.
The term of the old board members Waldemar Torenstra, Ton Crone, Hetty Naaijkens, Tijs van Marle and initiator Jules van der Steenhoven expired.
Board members of the DAFF can be a board member for a maximum of six years.
The DAFF is a trade association in the film and sound industry.
An important task of the DAFF members is to vote for the nominations and winners of the Golden Calves in the feature film and feature-length documentary categories.
The DAFF works together with the Netherlands Film Festival for this.
The nominations for the Golden Calves will be announced on September 28 this year.
The presentation will take place on October 2.
