A piece of the floor on which former basketball player Kobe Bryant (1978-2020) played his last game in 2016 will be auctioned on September 4, Heritage Auctions auction house reports. The property is expected to yield more than $ 500,000 (approximately € 450,000).
The piece of basketball floor to be auctioned bears Bryant's signature. This put the basketball player on the number 8. In honor of Bryant's last game, his numbers 8 and 24 were placed on both sides of the field.
On April 13, 2016, Bryant played his 1,346th and final game for Los Angeles Lakers at the Staples Center in that same city. The five-time champion in the American professional league NBA scored sixty points in his farewell game.
Bryant, along with one of his daughters and all other occupants, was killed in a helicopter crash in January. On Tuesday, Los Angeles City Council renamed Figueroa Street Kobe Bryant Boulevard, after the player who played for the Lakers for twenty seasons.
