In the case of the killed Black George Floyd, the Attorney General of the State of Minnesota is indicting three other police officers involved. The US media reported citing court documents. The three other police officers who were there when Floyd was arrested are charged with help and incitement to murder.

The main defendant Derek Chauvin is reportedly now charged with second degree murder. This roughly corresponds to homicide in a particularly serious case. Chauvin face up to 40 years in prison. So far, he has been charged with "third degree murder", which means up to 25 years in prison. A published court document shows that the new, more severe crime has been added to the first report.

Floyd had died after Chauvin knelt on his neck for almost new minutes during a police operation. Chauvin did not let Floyd go even after he had asked to let him breathe several times. The incident was captured with a cell phone camera.

The case sparked protests against racism and police violence in the United States and other countries. There were riots in part.
