British comedian Jack Whitehall opened the Brit Awards on Tuesday with a speech about presenter Caroline Flack, who died on Saturday. He said Flack was "part of the Brit Awards family" and found her a "warm personality."

"During the weekend we discovered the terrible news that a member of the Brit Awards family, our friend Caroline Flack, has passed away," he began his speech.

"She was a warm and colorful personality, with an infectious sense of pleasure. She will be missed terribly. I'm sure I will speak for everyone here if I say our thoughts are with her family and friends."

Flack was a regular part of the Brit Awards and attended the music event in succession since 2011, during which British Artists can win prizes for 'Best artist' and 'Rising star', among others.

Flack put an end to her life on 15 February at the age of forty. The British who presented Love Island and X Factor , among others, became discredited in December after she was arrested on suspicion of mistreatment of her boyfriend. She would appear in court on March 4 for this case.
