The Scottish actor Jack Burns, who played in Outlander and was also known as a great ballet talent, died on December 1 at the age of fourteen. He was found dead in his parental home, his school announced this week via Facebook. Burns is buried on Thursday morning.
Nothing has been announced yet about the cause of his death. It is clear, however, that there are no indications of a crime.
Burns was one of the most successful child stars in Scotland. He was seen by connoisseurs as an exceptional ballet dancer who could become 'the next Billy Elliot'. As an actor he played roles in BBC productions, the Outlander series and the mini series Plain Sight .
In a statement, The Elite Academy of Dance at Greenock said Burns was an inspiration to everyone at the dance school: "He captured the hearts of everyone who had the pleasure of working and dancing with him since 2012."
