According to Variety, Kristen Bell will once again be heard as a voice-over in the new spin-off of the popular Gossip Girl series. The Good Place actress provided the 'voice' of the series for six seasons.
It will be the first job for Bell after the recording of the comedy The Good Place , the last season of which is currently being broadcast. The actress can soon be heard in Frozen II , in which she takes care of the voice of the character Anna.
The new series, which will be shown on the new HBO Max streaming service, will not pick up the story about the original characters, but will take place eight years later and follow a new generation of teenagers.
From 2007 to 2012, Gossip Girl was shown for six seasons on the American channel The CW. In the Netherlands, the series was broadcast on Net5.
The story revolved around a group of wealthy New York teenagers at a private school on the Upper East Side. The thread running through the story was the anonymous' Gossip Girl 'website, on which all the students' scandals and gossip could be read. Bell takes care of the voice of this 'invisible' character.
The series included Blake Lively, Leighton Meester, Penn Badgley, Chace Crawford, Ed Westwick and Taylor Momsen, among others.
