Carice van Houten does not need a permanent role in one of the prequels of Game of Thrones , the series in which she appeared as Melisandre. She does, however, like a small role, says the 43-year-old actress in conversation with The Hollywood Reporter.
"I would certainly say yes to a one-off appearance or a cameo," says Van Houten. "But I would not want more. All good things come to an end and that also has something beautiful. It will always hurt a bit that it is ready, but that's okay. There is room for other things now."
Van Houten will soon be featured in Instinct , with which her best friend Halina Reijn makes her directing debut. "That was really a passion project," says the actress. "And I have so many other ideas. There is still a lot of work to be done."
