Game of Thrones won the most prizes on Sunday at the presentation of the Creative Arts Emmy Awards. The series won a total of ten awards, Carice van Houten was nominated for best guest role in Game of Thrones , but grabbed next to that prize. Game of Thrones was nominated in eighteen categories.
The series, including Van Houten and Michiel Huisman, won prizes for best makeup and best visual effects.
Chernobyl , the five-part mini-series about the 1986 nuclear disaster in the site of the same name, won seven Creative Arts Emmy Awards. The Handmaid's Tale also won prizes.
The Creative Arts Emmy Awards are considered a measure of the Emmy Awards, which will be presented on September 22. Game of Thrones has won 32 nominations for these prizes, four months after the release of the last episode.
