Wilfred Genee hopes that former football player Wesley Sneijder is considering a career as a football analyst. This is what the presenter of Veronica Inside told RTL Boulevard .
Sneijder announced the end of his career as a footballer on Monday. Genee believes that a good next step would be for the sportsman who played a record number of 134 international matches for the Dutch national team.
"My preference would be for Wesley to work on television as soon as possible," said Genee, who said he had already approached Sneijder through the internet. "I think he would be a perfect analyst. He has a lot of views on the game and a nice opinion and is funny and ad brake."
The presenter even offers to guide Sneijder in his potential new career. "We can take him a little by the hand and then he can see from there how he wants to further develop his career."
Sneijder played his last game in December as a professional footballer for the Al Gharafa club. He has since been plagued by injuries. The record international announced in March that he and his wife Yolanthe are separated. They are not officially divorced.
