The cost of a class B car driving license in Germany has risen above 3,000 euros for the first time. On a nationwide average, learner drivers had to pay 3,070 euros last year.

In Munich, up to 4,500 euros are normal Regionally, the average numbers can even seem surprisingly low. With 1.7 million initial and repeat exams per year, the number is 200,000 higher than in the mid-1900s. However, inflation apparently hardly deters the urge to get behind the wheel.
