Study on hate speech: Half of all citizens talk less openly about politics online. Around half of all participants in the study have already been insulted online.
According to the results, people with a recognizable migration background, young women and queer people are affected more than average. Almost every second young woman has received a nude photo without asking. "People are withdrawing from the Internet in the face of polarization and hate speech, but an open and democratic discussion space would be more important than ever today," says Anna-Lena von Hodenberg.
