ChatGPT, the wildly popular generative artificial intelligence (AI) interface, went offline for several hours Tuesday, answering users' questions with nonsense sentences. OpenAI, the start-up that launched the program at the end of 2022, indicated Wednesday morning on its site that ChatGPT was operating “normally” again.
