Water is a key condition for the creation in the future of habitable bases on one or another cosmic body - another planet or natural satellite. Water can serve as a source of both fuel and oxygen for breathing, and without it it will not be possible to grow food outside the Earth.
Research on the design of extraterrestrial bases is already underway, in the United States plans to carry out a manned flight to the Moon in 2025. At the same time, the creation of bases on the Moon is most realistic; human flight to Mars is still very far away.
