Russian scientists have created magnetic devices to restore damaged nerve tissue after injury. A prosthesis made of biocompatible materials is implanted at the site of injury and acts as a support onto which the patient’s nerve tissue can grow.

Device is based on a polymer that has piezoelectric properties - when mechanical deformations are converted into electrical impulses. This allows you to further stimulate the growth and restoration of nerve fibers. Scientists conducted laboratory experiments in vitro and in vivo - on cell culture and on rats. The experiments were successful - nerve conduction in the tissues of rodents was restored.
