Si Jiahui is the only Chinese player to advance to the round of 2023 in the 16 World Snooker Championship. A total of 5 Chinese players competed in this year's World Championships.

Four of the 16 seeded players were out: Sean Murphy, Trump Trump, Ali Carter and China's Ding Junhui. Scarlett, McGill, Jack Jones and Hussein Wafi were eliminated in the first round of the World Championship. In the quarterfinals, Scarfa faced 1-year-old England veteran Milkins, who staged a comeback from trailing 8-47 to defeat Joe Perry 2-7.
