Vegas Golden Knights won the first final game against Florida in the hunt for the Stanley Cup title. After two even periods, when the teams trailed 2–2, Vegas pulled away in the third and eventually won 5–2.
Vegas takes a 1–0 lead in the best-of-seven finals series. The next game will be played on the night of Tuesday in Las Vegas. The Vegas Golden Knights are about to play their second Stanley Cup Final. The team has won the title in 2012 and 2013.
