This summer's national high school baseball season starts on August 7th, 17 days including rest days. The tournament will be held at Koshien Stadium, which will celebrate its 100th anniversary on August 1st this year.
Starting this year, the Japan High School Baseball Federation will relax the rules and allow so-called "two-step motions," such as pitchers raising and lowering their feet twice when pitching. The official baseball regulations were revised in 2018, and it is now allowed in professional baseball, adult baseball, and college baseball.
