Anurag Maloo, a 34-year-old Indian mountaineer, fell into a crack at 5,800 meters of altitude when descending to Camp II of Annapurna. Bad weather conditions had forced him to give up the summit and he was in full retreat when the tragedy struck.

In an avalanche, the void. And under an intense snowfall, between continuous avalanches, helping him was impossible. But the company that accompanied him, Seven Summit Treks, did not give up trying.
