[HIGHLIGHTS] The launching ceremony of the 31st Summer Universiade in Chengdu was held in Beijing

The theme of the Chengdu Universiade Torch Relay was "Striving for Youth, Releasing Dreams" The torch will be relayed at Peking University, Harbin Institute of Technology, Shenzhen University, Chongqing University, Yibin College and Chengdu University. About 180 people attended the ceremony, including responsible persons of relevant departments of central and state organs.

The first torchbearer was Chengdu Sports Institute student and Tokyo Olympic gymnastics champion Zou Jingyuan.
