Reio Inaba qualified for the men's surfing competition at the Paris Olympics. Inaba is a 26-year-old from Ichinomiya, Chiba Prefecture.

He competed in the world championships held in Puerto Rico from last month to this month, earning him the right to compete in the Olympics for the first time. The actual competition venue will be Tahiti in the South Pacific, where big waves are coming, Inaba said in a press conference on the 12th.
