DeNA won 4-2 over Rakuten, while Yakult won 2-1 over The Giants. For the Giants, pitcher Nishidate, the No. 1 draft pick, pitched two innings with no hits and no runs, and pitcher Iori Yamasaki pitched well, pitching no runs in the first inning. For Rakuten's rookie pitcher Koja, who was ranked No.1 in the draft, made his first appearance in an exhibition game.
