Saga Sakura Marathon consists of two courses: a 42.195km full marathon that runs across the Saga plains and turns around at Yoshinogari Historical Park, and a 10km fun run that runs while having fun. Yuki Yamada, a native of Saga Prefecture who competed from Saitama Prefecture, won the full marathon with a time of 2 hours 21 minutes 47 seconds.
The conditions on the 24th were unfortunate, with occasional heavy rain, but the runners ran with great strength.
