The Spaniard Rafael Nadal announced this Thursday his withdrawal for the tournament of Roland-Garros, which begins at the end of May. Injured in the left leg since the last Australian Open, the Mallorcan, defending champion in Paris and with his 14 victories at Porte d'Auteuil, will not play his favorite tournament for the first time since 2005.

It is on his island of Mallorca, in his tennis academy, that "Rafa" had given appointment to the press, at 16 hours, to communicate his decision.
