The Polish and number 1 advances as a favorite to face Beatriz Haddad Maia in the semifinals. The match was a remake of last year's final between the two women, who have faced each other for six months in the last two years. It was the first time since Justine Henin (2005, 2006, 2007) and Ons Jabeur (2008, 2009) met in the semis.
