An international skateboarding and street competition was held in the United Arab Emirates. Last year's world championship silver medalist Kairyu Netsuke, 20, was selected for the men's competition.
In the women's final, 15-year-old Rinne Akama, ranked 5th in the world, came from behind to win, her second win in an Olympic qualifying tournament. Skateboarding representatives at the Paris Olympics will be determined by a world ranking based on points earned at participating international competitions.
